At St John the Baptist, we recognise parents and carers as important partners in the education of their children. Strong relationships between home, school, parish and the wider community help create a welcoming and connected school community in which our students can thrive.
Our Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Forum provides opportunities for parents and carers to connect with the school, contribute their ideas and perspectives, and participate in conversations that support our students and strengthen our community.
What is FACE?
FACE is about much more than fundraising. It provides a forum for families, school staff and members of our wider community to come together, share perspectives and contribute to the life of St John the Baptist.
Through FACE, families have opportunities to:
- contribute parent and carer voice to relevant school matters
- hear about initiatives and developments within the school
- share ideas and provide feedback
- strengthen connections between families, school and parish
- support activities and events that build community
- contribute to initiatives that benefit our students and families.
FACE at St John the Baptist
Our FACE Forum reflects the welcoming and collaborative spirit of St John the Baptist. Meetings provide an opportunity for families to hear about what is happening across the school, ask questions, contribute ideas and participate in conversations about matters that affect our school community.
We recognise that families contribute to school life in many different ways. Participation in FACE is one opportunity to become involved, connect with other families and contribute to our community.
All parents and carers are warmly invited to attend FACE meetings and become involved in ways that suit their interests, availability and capacity.
Information about upcoming FACE meetings is communicated to families through Compass.
We value the voices, experiences and contributions of our families and look forward to continuing to strengthen the partnership between home, school, parish and community.
